EDNA TATEL

Edna  is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Ethanol Producers’ Association of the Philippines (EPAP), which is the only government recognized organization of producers of fuel grade ethanol in he Philippines.  She represents the Roxas Holdings, Inc. (RHI), which owns and operates two fuel ethanol manufacturing plants; Roxol Bioenergy Corporation and San Carlos Bioenergy Corporation.  She substantially participated in passage of the Republic Act 9367 – The Philippine Biofuels Act of 2006, which mandated the blending of at least 10 percent of locally produced ethanol in all gasoline distributed and utilized in the country.  As an Agricultural Engineer, Ms. Tatel has devoted much time and effort in establishing the right policies to support the utilization of factory wastewater agricultural uses.   With these policies distilleries have helped farmers lessen cost of inputs and improve production of sugarcane.
