A business meet on Compressed Biogas (CBG) was held in Uttar Pradesh to promote green energy investments and accelerate bioenergy adoption. Organized by the state government in collaboration with industry stakeholders, the event brought together entrepreneurs, officials, and experts to explore opportunities in CBG production.
The meet focused on scaling up CBG projects by leveraging agricultural residue, cattle dung, and municipal waste. Officials highlighted incentives under the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) scheme, availability of feedstock, and infrastructure support. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to invest in decentralized CBG units to boost rural employment and income.
The event also featured discussions on policy frameworks, public-private partnerships, and financing mechanisms. Uttar Pradesh aims to become a leading CBG-producing state, aligning with national energy security and environmental goals.
