Kazakhstan: New sugar plant to be set up in the Zhambyl region

Taraz: A sugar plant having a capacity of 150 thousand tons per year will be constructed in the Zhambyl region, reoports local media.

Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, governor of the Zhambyl region said that the government is planning to develop the region into a special economic zone and as a part of it a sugar plant having a capacity of 150 thousand tons per year will be set up.

This would boost the development of the region, said the governor.
