Indian benchmark indices ended higher on June 04.
Sensex ended 260.74 points higher at 80,998.25, whereas Nifty concluded 77.70 points up at 24,620.20.
Eternal, Jio Financial, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Trent, Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance, TCS, Axis Bank.
Indian rupee ended 41 paise lower at 85.90 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday close of 85.59.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 636.24 points lower at 80,737.51, whereas Nifty concluded 174.10 points down at 24,542.50.
