Indian benchmark indices extended gains on fourth day on June 09 amid largely positive global cues.
Sensex ended 256.22 points higher at 82,445.21, whereas Nifty concluded 100.15 points up at 25,103.20.
Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Jio Financial, Trent were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ICICI Bank, Titan Company, M&M, Adani Ports, Eternal.
Indian rupee ended flat at 85.63 per dollar on Monday against Friday’s previous close of 85.63.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 746.95 points higher at 82,188.99, whereas Nifty concluded 252.15 points up at 25,003.05.
