Indian equity indices ended on a weak note on July 18.
Sensex ended 501.52 points lower at 81,757.73, whereas Nifty concluded 143.05 points down at 24,968.40.
Biggest Nifty losers included Axis Bank, Shriram Finance, Bharat Electronics, HDFC Life, Bharti Airtel, while gainers were Wipro, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, ONGC, Nestle India.
Indian rupee ended lower at 86.15 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday’s close of 86.07.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 375.24 points lower at 82,259.24, whereas Nifty concluded 100.60 points up at 25,111.45.
