Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were stable

Domestic sugar prices in major markets have been reported to be stable for the second session. Demand is reported to be good, which is supporting the prices and had kept at multi year high.

Currently, the price of M-grade sugar is between ₹3,950 and ₹4,050 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while S-grade sugar is quoted between ₹3,830 and ₹3,870 per quintal in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $502.00 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 16.37 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 398-0 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 2.0000s

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 88.189 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4304 Crude WTI traded at $64.66 a barrel. Sensex closed 554.84 points up at 80364.49 whereas Nifty closed 198.20 points higher at 24,625.05
