Indian equity indices ended higher on September 16.
Sensex ended 594.95 points higher at 82,380.69, whereas Nifty concluded 169.90 up at 25,239.10.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T, Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer, Nestle, Asian Paints.
Indian rupee ended with 16 paise gain at 88.05 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 88.21.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 118.96 points lower at 81,785.74, whereas Nifty concluded 44.80 down up at 25,069.20.
