Arya.ag brings technology to the farm gate with Smart Farm Centres powering data-led agriculture

Arya.ag, India’s largest and only profitable grain commerce platform, today announced the launch of 25 Smart Farm Centres across India, bringing technology and data intelligence directly to the farmgate. This initiative marks a new chapter in Arya.ag’s mission to build a profitable agri ecosystem that empowers India’s smallholder farmers to make informed, data-driven decisions with technology at the core.

Over the years, Arya.ag has built the country’s most trusted agri-commerce network, connecting millions of farmers and their organisations with storage, finance, and market linkages. The Smart Farm Centres now extend this network into the pre-harvest stage, giving farmers access to technology that simplifies decisions and improves productivity.

Each Smart Farm Centre serves as a hub for data-led agriculture, addressing the immediate and localised challenges of farmers. Managed by a cadre of community-based women leaders, these Centres offer IoT-enabled soil diagnostics, hyper-local weather insights, drone imaging, climate insurance, and farmer training. These tools help farmers make better decisions at every stage of cultivation—from sowing and irrigation to harvest planning and financing.

Developed in collaboration with Neoperk, BharatRohan, FarmBridge, Finhaat, Fyllo, and Arya.ag’s Community Value Chain Resource Persons (CVRPs), the Smart Farm Centres demonstrate how partnerships in technology, data analytics, and community trust can drive measurable impact at the farm level. Together, they form a connected intelligence network where every data point strengthens farmer resilience, decision-making, and income stability.

Shenoy Mathew, Chief Sustainability Officer, Arya.ag said: “Farmers have long worked within a system defined by uncertainty of soil, weather, policy and markets. The Smart Farm Centres brings them the intelligence and network to face that uncertainty. By bringing technology directly to the farmgate and training local community members to manage these Centres, we shift the power back into the hands of the farmers. This is how resilience is built—through information and access.”

Prasanna Rao, Co-founder and CEO, Arya.ag, added: “Collaboration is the foundation of progress in agriculture. The Smart Farm Centres show what happens when technology innovators, data scientists, and local communities work together. These Centres are proof that practical, scalable solutions can emerge from partnerships grounded in the everyday realities of Indian farmers.”

Suman Yadav (CVRP) “This year, the paddy harvest coincided with Diwali and Chhath, so many farmers had planned to delay harvesting. But through the Smart Farm Centre’s weather updates, we were alerted about an approaching cyclone and rain. We quickly informed farmers, who harvested on time and that decision saved their entire crop.

Swapnil Satinge (farmer) “With guidance from the Smart Farm Centre, I adopted a high-yield soybean variety and used the BBF technique for sowing. The tech based advisories helped me manage the crop better, my yield and grain quality both improved. Through crop quality testing support, I also received a premium price in the market.”

The Smart Farm Centres are directly integrated into Arya.ag’s broader ecosystem of storage, finance, and markets—creating a transparent and connected value chain from farm to market. This strengthens income stability, improves risk management, and supports long-term growth for smallholders. In the next three years, Arya aims to establish a network comprising 100 smart farm centers.

Arya.ag currently works with over 1,600 FPOs and 800,000+ farmers across India. Its network spans 60% of the country’s districts covering more than 12,000 warehouses, facilitating grain aggregation worth USD 3 billion annually, and enabling USD 1.5 billion in credit for farmers and their organisations.

With Smart Farm Centres, Arya.ag reinforces its position as India’s most comprehensive agri ecosystem—combining technology, data, and community partnerships to empower smallholders and their organisations for a resilient and sustainable future.
