Domestic Market

Domestic prices traded steady

Domestic sugar prices traded steady across major spot markets in today’s session. Firmness in prices is mainly attributed to expectations of lower domestic production, which continue to lend support to market sentiment.

In North India, the M-grade sugar market in Muzaffarnagar was quoted in the range of ₹4,030–₹4,130 per quintal, stable compared to the previous session. In western India, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹3,700–₹3,730 per quintal, reflecting good buying support.
