Nellore: Two ethanol projects in Kodavalur mandal of Andhra Pradesh have received mandatory environmental clearance, paving the way for new investments in the biofuel sector, The New Indian Express reported.
Gayathri Renewable Fuels and Allied Industries Pvt. Ltd. has been granted approval by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Andhra Pradesh, under the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The clearance allows the company to set up a 200 kilo litres per day grain-based ethanol plant along with a 6 MW cogeneration power facility at the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone in Racharlapadu village.
Company director Srisai Jabbala said the clearance document has been uploaded on the Ministry’s PARIVESH portal and is available for public access. He stated that the company is committed to adhering to environmental standards and sustainable practices.
In a separate development, Ramshy Bio Pvt. Ltd. also secured environmental approval from SEIAA for its proposed project in the same region. Director K. Sandeep Kumar said the clearance covers a 370 kilo litres per day grain-based ethanol plant and a 7.25 MW cogeneration power facility at IFFCO Nellore in Racharlapadu village under Regadichelika Gram Panchayat.
Kumar said the approval document is accessible through the PARIVESH portal and affirmed that the company will comply with all environmental regulations while supporting the expansion of biofuel production in Andhra Pradesh.
