Susheel Kamboj appointed CEO and MD of Shree Renuka Sugars

Mumbai: Shree Renuka Sugars has announced a key leadership change, with its board approving the appointment of Susheel Kumar Kamboj as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective 23 March 2026.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated that the board has also cleared his appointment as Managing Director for a period of five years beginning 1 April 2026. The appointment will take effect subject to approval from the company’s shareholders.

Kamboj holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar and an MBA in Agri Business Management from Symbiosis Institute of International Business in Pune. He brings more than two decades of experience, having worked across agribusiness, crop protection, seeds, and the food sector.

During his career, he has been associated with companies including Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co. Ltd. (Mahyco) and Syngenta India Private Limited, where he last served as Managing Director. He is also involved with several industry and non-profit organisations, including Syngenta Foundation India, Croplife India, and the Agro Chem Federation of India.

Shree Renuka Sugars, a major sugar producer in the country with over 25 years of operations, runs an integrated business that includes sugarcane crushing, sugar refining, ethanol production, and power generation.

On the financial front, the company reported a reduced net loss of Rs 38.3 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year, compared to a loss of Rs 203.7 crore in the same period last year. However, revenue from operations fell 14.47 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2,119.6 crore.
