Nagal: The crushing season at the Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Mill in Gangnauli began with guests symbolically placing sugarcane into the mill’s conveyor chain, reports Amar Ujala.
Before the inauguration, Pandit Sanjeet Pandey conducted a ritual ceremony with Vedic chants. On the occasion, Unit Head R.B. Khokhar appealed to farmers to supply clean and fresh sugarcane to the mill for efficient processing.
To mark the beginning of the season, the first farmer to deliver sugarcane to the mill, Prameel Kumar of Gangnauli, was honoured with a cash reward and sweets.
Several dignitaries including local MLA Devendra Nim, former block chief Vijendra Chaudhary, Sugarcane Committee President Manoj Pundeer Chaudhary, Rajveer Singh, and Yogendra Singh Rana attended the function.
