Kuchaikote (Bihar): MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey, also known as Pappu Pandey, met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday and urged him to restart the Sasa Musa sugar mill. He also raised the issue of early payment of long-pending dues owed to sugarcane farmers, reports Live Hindustan.
According to the media report, the chief minister assured the MLA that steps would be taken to revive the sugar mill.
Meanwhile, farmersтАЩ protest at the gate of the Sasa Musa sugar mill continues. The protesting farmers said they will not withdraw their sit-in until they receive a firm and written assurance at the protest site, along with a clear timeline for payment of dues and the reopening of the mill.
