Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 01/10/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 1st Oct 2025

Domestic Market

Domestic sugar prices remained stable

Sugar prices across major domestic markets remained steady for the second session, supported by firm demand. Prices are currently at multi-year highs, primarily driven by tight stock availability in the domestic market.

Heavy rainfall, including instances of flooding, has been reported in key cane-growing regions of Maharashtra and Northern Karnataka. Meanwhile, the withdrawal of the monsoon has stalled and is expected to remain at its current position for the next 8–10 days.

In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar is quoted at ₹4,020–₹4,120 per quintal, reflecting firmer pricing in northern markets. In comparison, S-grade sugar in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is trading in the range of ₹3,850–₹3,900 per quintal, underscoring the regional price spread.
