The food ministry on 31st August 2022 announced a quota of 23.50 LMT for sale in the month of September 2022. The market sentiments were mixed, no major movement was witnessed in the market. The prices remained stable.

International Trade Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract (SWV22) is trading at $567.20/ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract (SBV22) is trading at 18.15c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 80.087 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2422 Crude futures traded at โน7107, Crude WTI traded at $88.67/barrel. Sensex closed 36.75 points higher at 58,803.33 whereas Nifty ended 3.35 points lower at 17,539.
