ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 2nd Dec 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices remained stable

Domestic sugar prices across major markets reported to be stable for the fourth session. The start of crushing activity coupled with subdued buying activity is weighed on sugar prices and are likely to remain under pressure in the upcoming sessions. Recently Uttar Pradesh has inched higher but are likely to trade lower in the upcoming sessions.

ISMA released the crushing update as of Nov 30 2025. As per the update around 428 mills are operating and produced 4.11 MMT of sugar compared to 2.88 MMT of the previous season. Sugar production is reported to be sharply higher in Maharashtra, while slightly up in Uttar Pradesh and hindrance in crushing has led to lower sugar production.

In key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted between ₹4,040 and ₹4,110 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,690–₹3,740 per quintal, indicating a stable to slightly weak pricing trend.
