Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices traded higher
Domestic sugar prices across major markets remained stable to marginally higher. Trade sources indicated that new-season sugar offered by mills was priced ₹10–₹20 per quintal above previous levels in several regions.
According to ISMA’s crushing update as of November 30, 2025, around 428 mills were operational, producing 4.11 MMT of sugar compared with 2.88 MMT during the same period last season. The year-on-year increase is driven primarily by sharply higher output from Maharashtra, while Uttar Pradesh has reported a modest rise. In contrast, delays and operational hindrances in certain regions have resulted in lower production.
In the key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted between ₹4,060 and ₹4,130 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,700–₹3,750 per quintal, reflecting a steady to slightly softer tone.
