Steady sentiment witnessed in Domestic sugar price
Domestic sugar prices reported steady sentiment across major markets. Prices are trading at three month high on the news of increase in sugar MSP initially and reports of lower sugar production, particularly from Maharashtra and Karnataka.
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹4,030–₹4,140 per quintal, steady compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, S-grade sugar traded at ₹3,690–₹3,780 per quintal, also stable versus the last session.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $414.30 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.57 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 426-6 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.60250s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 90.344 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2392 Crude WTI traded at $63.49 a barrel. Sensex closed 78.56 points up at 83,817.69 whereas Nifty closed 48.45 points higher at 25,776.00.
