Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 04/10/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 4th Oct 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were mostly stable

Sugar prices across major domestic markets remain mostly steady, supported by good offtake even at elevated levels, with prices currently hovering at multi-year highs due to tight stock availability.

Weather conditions are turning favorable for cane development as dry weather has followed heavy rains in key growing regions of Maharashtra and Northern Karnataka, while the monsoon withdrawal has stalled and is expected to remain in place for the next 8–10 days. Crushing is expected to delay the recent rainfall activity especially over North Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Regionally, prices continue to reflect firmness, with M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, quoted at ₹4,070–₹4,150 per quintal, compared to S-grade sugar in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, trading in the range of ₹3,840–₹3,890 per quintal.
