Domestic sugar prices traded higher
Domestic sugar prices across major markets remained stable to marginally higher. Trade sources indicated that new-season sugar offered by mills was priced тВ╣10тАУтВ╣20 per quintal above previous levels in several regions.
In the key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted between тВ╣4,080 and тВ╣4,150 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of тВ╣3,700тАУтВ╣3,750 per quintal, reflecting a steady to slightly softer tone.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 89.935 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.3043 Crude WTI traded at $59.37 a barrel. Sensex closed 158.51 points up at 85,265.32 whereas Nifty closed 47.75 points lower at 26,033.75.
