Domestic Market
Weak sentiment continued in domestic sugar prices
Domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported to be weak for the third session, with prices falling by Rs 10-20 per quintal across the major markets. Prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in Karnataka, Maharashtra while fell by Rs 10-20 per quintal in Uttar Pradesh and other North Indian states. According to market participants, demand is need-based, despite lower quotas, which have kept prices in a range for the last 10-12 sessions.
The price of S-grade sugar in Kolhapur ranges from Rs 3,760 to Rs 3,810 per quintal, while M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar costs between Rs 3,980 and Rs 4,030.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $530.70 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 18.66c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 466-4 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.78250s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 86.261 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.8636 Crude WTI traded at $61.04 barrel. Sensex closed 1089.18 points up at 74227.08 whereas Nifty closed 374.25 points higher at 22535.85
