Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported stable to weak

Domestic prices reported to be stable to weak in the major markets. Sugar prices further eased by ₹10–20 per quintal amid sluggish demand at elevated price levels in Uttar Pradesh and Northern markets. While prices were reported stable in the major markets in Maharashtra and North Karnataka.

Regionally, prices continue to show underlying firmness. In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar is quoted between ₹4,060–₹4,130 per quintal, while in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar is trading in the range of ₹3,830–₹3,880 per quintal.

International Market

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $449.30 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 16.27 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 421-6 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.86750s

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 88.780 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.3431 Crude WTI traded at $62.34 a barrel. Sensex closed 398.44 points up at 82172.10 whereas Nifty closed 135.65 points higher at 25181.80.
