Domestic sugar prices were stable to higher

Domestic sugar prices have reported to be stable to higher with prices rising in a few states. Prices in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat increased by Rs 20 per quintal. Prices have gained by almost Rs 100-120 per quintal over the last 3-4 sessions on lower monthly quota. As demand is said to be good ahead of the festive season, lower release of monthly quota fuelled the rally in the spot markets.

In terms of pricing, M-grade sugar is currently selling between Rs 4,000 and Rs 4,080 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, while S-grade sugar costs range from Rs 3,860 to Rs 3,900 in Kolhapur.
