Domestic prices reported stable
Domestic sugar prices witnessed a steady sentiment today in the major spot markets. As per the market sources, despite the lower monthly quota, buying interest is reported to be dull which is keeping prices range-bound despite the expected lower production.
In North India, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar was quoted at โน4,040โโน4,120 per quintal, stable compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, in western India, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at โน3,700โโน3,730 per quintal, supported by sluggish buying interest.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $419.90 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.54 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 434-6 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.85250s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 92.103 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1682 Crude WTI traded at $90.48 a barrel. Sensex closed 639.82 points up at 78205.98 whereas Nifty closed 233.55 points higher at 24261.60.
