Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 11/11/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 11th Nov 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were stable to weak

Domestic sugar prices were reported to be stable to weak in the major markets, with demand continuing to be need-based and overall offtake remaining limited. Prices in Kolhapur and Northern Karnataka reported lower by Rs 5-10 per quintal. In Karnataka, farmers have withdrawn their protest following the fixation of cane prices at ₹3,300 per tonne for 11.25% recovery and ₹3,000 per MT for 10.25% recovery, inclusive of a ₹100 per tonne bonus.

The Government of India has permitted the export of 15 lakh tonnes of sugar and lifted the 50% export duty on molasses. However, given the recent plunge in global sugar prices, export contracts will need close monitoring. On a positive note, strong demand from the European Union for molasses is expected to support robust export activity in the coming months.

In regional markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted at ₹4,000–4,080 per quintal, while S-grade sugar in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) traded between ₹3,740 and ₹3,775 per quintal.
