Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices remained stable
Domestic sugar prices continue to hold firm, hovering near a three-month high. The prevailing strength is being driven largely by market sentiment rather than any significant pickup in real-time demand. These supply-side concerns have boosted mill confidence, reducing the urgency to offload stocks aggressively, even as physical market offtake remains routine rather than robust.
In North India, prices in Muzaffarnagar were steady, indicating a balanced spot market. M-grade sugar was quoted at ₹4,030–₹4,140 per quintal, unchanged from the previous session. A similar trend was observed in western India. At Kolhapur, a key benchmark market, S-grade sugar traded at ₹3,720–₹3,760 per quintal, also steady on the day.
