Domestic Market

Weak sentiment continued in sugar prices

Domestic sugar prices were reported to be mostly weak across the major markets. Prices have fallen by another Rs 5-10 per quintal in the major markets. Demand is said to be need based and lower monthly quota keeping demand and supply balanced which is keeping prices in the broader range. Despite the lower monthly quota subdued demand is keeping prices under control.

In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,770 and Rs 3,820 per quintal, while M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,970 and Rs 4,090 in Muzaffarnagar.
