Domestic Market

Domestic sugar prices were stable

After falling for two sessions, domestic sugar prices were reported to be mostly stable across the major markets. Demand is said to be need-based, and lower monthly quotas keep demand and supply balanced, resulting in prices in the broad range. Despite the lower monthly quota, subdued demand is keeping prices stable.

In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,770 and Rs 3,820 per quintal, whereas M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,970 and Rs 4,090 in Muzaffarnagar.
