Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were stable
Domestic sugar prices remained stable across major markets for the third session, with demand continuing to be need-based and overall offtake limited. As the crushing season started across the major growing states prices are expected to remain under pressure.
In regional markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted at тВ╣4,000тАУ4,080 per quintal, while S-grade sugar in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) traded between тВ╣3,750 and тВ╣3,780 per quintal.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $415.00 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.48 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 434-6 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.83750s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 88.686 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2930 Crude WTI traded at $58.88 a barrel. Sensex closed 12.16 points up at 84,478.87 whereas Nifty closed 3.35 points higher at 25,879.15.
