Yesterday sugar prices closed higher owing to strength in crude prices.
London White Sugar #5 (SWK22) front month contract closed up $14.80 at $535.70/ton up, whereas the New York Sugar front month contract US sugar #11 (SBK22) closed 0.53 points up at 19.17 c/lb.
