Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 15/05/2025

Domestic Market

Domestic sugar prices were stable

After trading lower for a session, domestic sugar prices were reported to be stable across the major markets. Sluggish demand has pushed prices to a two-month low. Despite lower monthly quotas, sugar has remained unsold for the past two months, indicating a dull demand.

Meanwhile, good rains have been reported in the major cane-growing regions of Northern Karnataka and Western Maharashtra. Early rains are likely to be beneficial for cane development. There have also been reports of flash floods in the Gokak region of Karnataka, which are expected to benefit crop development and growth.

In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,750 and Rs 3,800 per quintal, while M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,950 and Rs 4,070 in Muzaffarnagar.
