Domestic sugar prices continued to be weak
Domestic sugar prices continue to trade weak across major markets. Prices eased further by ₹10-20 per quintal across the major markets, as sluggish demand persisted at elevated price levels. As per sources, demand is said to be subdued which is weighing on the prices from the last 5-6 sessions. As prices have rallied more in Uttar Pradesh recently so prices are being weighed down more in Uttar Pradesh.
In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar is quoted between ₹4,030 and ₹4,100 per quintal, while in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar is trading in the range of ₹3,800–₹3,840 per quintal.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $442.50 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 15.61 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 412-4 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.83000s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 88.046 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4689 Crude WTI traded at $59.14 a barrel. Sensex closed 575.45 points up at 82,605.43 whereas Nifty closed 178.05 points higher at 25,323.55.
