Domestic sugar prices were stable to weak
Domestic sugar prices remained stable to weak across major markets, with demand continuing to be need-based and overall offtake limited. As the crushing season started across the major growing states prices are expected to remain under pressure. Prices have reported lower by Rs 10 per quintal in Maharashtra and North Karnataka while remained stable in Muzaffarnagar.
In regional markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted at ₹4,000–4,080 per quintal, while S-grade sugar in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) traded between ₹3,730 and ₹3,760 per quintal.
