Domestic sugar prices stable
Domestic sugar prices reported to be stable after a weak session over the past 5-6 session. Sluggish demand persisted at elevated price levels which is weighing on the prices. Moreover, as crushing is expected to start after Diwali prices are benign weighed down.
In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar is quoted between ₹4,030 and ₹4,100 per quintal, while in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar is trading in the range of ₹3,800–₹3,840 per quintal.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 87.923 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4440 Crude WTI traded at $58.55 a barrel. Sensex closed 862.23 points up at 83.467.66 whereas Nifty closed 261.75 points higher at 25,585.30.
