Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 17/12/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 17th Dec 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices remained weak

Domestic sugar prices were reported largely stable in today’s session, following a continuous decline over the past 4–5 sessions that was driven by ample availability as the crushing season progresses steadily. With crushing operations running smoothly across key producing states, buyers have continued to remain cautious, factoring in comfortable supply prospects in the weeks ahead. As a result, overall market sentiment has stayed on the softer side.

Spot prices in major physical markets reflected this subdued tone. In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,950–₹4,020 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, S-grade sugar traded slightly lower at ₹3,640–₹3,680 per quintal, extending the gradual decline observed over recent sessions.
