Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported stable
Sugar prices in the major domestic markets remained steady after a rise in the previous session. They are currently trading at multi-year highs due to tight stock availability and an anticipated delay in the start of crushing operations, particularly in Karnataka. With the festive season approaching, demand is likely to stay strong, providing continued support to prices.
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar is being traded in the range of ₹3,980–₹4,070 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, S-grade sugar is quoted between ₹3,860 and ₹3,900 per quintal.
