Domestic Market
Prices for domestic sugar were stable at two-month low.
Due to weak demand, domestic sugar prices continued their downward trend and are currently trading at a two-month low. As demand is said to be sluggish with good rainfall activity over Southern and Eastern India is keeping prices at lower levels. With the cyclonic activity trade activity has impacted to some extent.
M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,950 and Rs 4,070 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, while S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,735 and Rs 3,790 per quintal in Kolhapur.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $490.60 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 17.46 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 454-2 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.73000s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 85.532 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.6682 Crude WTI traded at $62.51 barrel. Sensex closed 410.19 points up at 81596.63 whereas Nifty closed 129.55 points higher at 24813.45
