Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie -21/8/2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported weak

Domestic sugar prices in major markets have softened slightly despite remaining at relatively high levels. Due to lower supply, prices are at multi-year lows, dropping by Rs 10-20 per quintal across key trading centers.

Excess rainfall has dampened trading activity, and forecasts of a cold wave have subdued demand over the past 2-3 sessions. However, strong festive season demand combined with limited supplies is expected to support prices in the near term.

Currently, M-grade sugar is priced between ₹3,970 and ₹4,070 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while S-grade sugar is quoted at ₹3,850 to ₹3,890 per quintal in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
