Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported stable
After trading marginally weak for the last two sessions, domestic sugar prices in major markets have reported to be stable. As per the market sources, sellers are reluctant to liquidate as monthly quota is due in the coming week. If the quota is expected to remain lower then there are chances that prices will rally.
On the weather front, much needed respite is reported over major cane growing belts with good sunshine which is likely to support the crop development. The forecast indicates moderate rains from last week which should be helpful for better crop development.
Currently, M-grade sugar is priced between ₹3,970 and ₹4,070 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while S-grade sugar is quoted at ₹3,850 to ₹3,890 per quintal in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
