Domestic sugar prices continue to trade stable
Domestic sugar prices remained stable across major markets, supported by expectations that the Government of India may soon increase the Minimum Selling Price (MSP). Market sources indicate the MSP could be raised from the current ₹31/kg to around ₹37–38/kg, which is helping prices hold firm in key trading centres which is keeping prices higher.
In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,980–₹4,100 per quintal, steady compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded at ₹3,600–₹3,660 per quintal, steady compared to last session.
