Domestic sugar prices were stable to weak
Domestic sugar prices across major markets remained stable to weak with prices remaining stable in Uttar Pradesh while trading lower by Rs 10 per quintal in Maharashtra and North Karnataka. Arrival of new sugar is supporting the sentiment in North Markets while subdued buying activity continued to weigh in Maharashtra markets.
In the key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted in the range of โน4,020โ4,100 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded between โน3,710โ3,740 per quintal, reflecting a stable to weak price trend.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 89.144 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.3931 Crude WTI traded at $57.90 a barrel. Sensex closed 331.21 points down at 84,900.71 whereas Nifty closed 106.65 points lower at 25,959.50.
