Domestic sugar prices were stable to weak
Domestic sugar prices in major markets have reported to be stable to weak. Prices were reported lower by Rs 5-10 per quintal in the major markets. As per the market sources, sellers are reluctant to liquidate as the monthly quota is due in the next 2-3 days. If the quota remains lower than there are chances that prices will rally.
Currently, M-grade sugar is priced between ₹3,960 and ₹4,060 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while S-grade sugar is quoted at ₹3,840 to ₹3,880 per quintal in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
