Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 28/10/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 28th Oct 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were quoted stable

After trading weak over the past 3–4 sessions, domestic sugar prices ruled steady amid dull demand despite a lower monthly release quota. With the crushing season set to commence next week, market sentiment remains under pressure due to expectations of improved supply.

The Food Ministry has announced the monthly sugar quota for November 2025 at 20 lakh tonnes — 2 lakh tonnes lower than the same month last year and 4 lakh tonnes below the previous month’s allocation. This marks the lowest quota in the past 46 months; however, given the absence of major festivals in November, the allocation is considered adequate.

In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar was quoted between ₹3,940 and ₹4,000 per quintal, while in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,750–₹3,790 per quintal.
