Domestic Market
Weak sentiment continued in Domestic sugar prices

Domestic sugar prices were reported weak across major markets, with prices declining by around ₹10–20 per quintal during the session. The Uttar Pradesh mills saw a fall of ₹10-20 per quintal, largely due to a wider market spread and sustained selling pressure while Maharashtra and Northern Karnataka witnessed a relatively milder decline of ₹5–10 per quintal. Overall, the market continues to remain under pressure, extending the downward trend observed since the start of the crushing season, amid comfortable supply availability and subdued demand conditions.

Spot prices in key physical markets mirrored this subdued tone. In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,880–₹3,970 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, S-grade sugar traded slightly lower at ₹3,555–₹3,610 per quintal, extending the gradual downward trend seen over the past few sessions.
