Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported steady

After a continuous fall domestic sugar prices were reported to be steady across major markets. As prices have fallen sharply since the start of the crushing season they are expected to hold at current levels in Maharashtra while Uttar Pradesh prices are expected to remain under pressure as spread is higher than the normal. Overall, the market continues to remain under pressure, extending the downward trend observed since the start of the crushing season, amid comfortable supply availability and subdued demand conditions.

Spot prices in key physical markets mirrored this subdued tone. In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,880–₹3,970 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, S-grade sugar traded slightly lower at ₹3,555–₹3,610 per quintal, extending the gradual downward trend seen over the past few sessions.
