Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 6/11/2025

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 6th Nov 2025

Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were traded higher

Domestic sugar prices started to rise again as crushing is impacted in Karnataka due to farmers strike. As per the update around 15 mills are operational out of 76 mills in Karnataka due to farmers strike. Mills which are operating are working under capacity. Prices saw a rise of ₹10-20 per quintal across the major markets.

Prices are currently steady amid subdued demand, with limited festive buying expected despite a lower monthly release quota. Market sentiment remains cautious as the sugarcane crushing season has commenced, raising expectations of increased supply in the coming weeks.

In regional markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted at ₹4,000–4,080 per quintal, while S-grade sugar in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) traded in the range of ₹3,750–3,790 per quintal.
