Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices remained steady
Domestic sugar prices remained stable after witnessing a sharp rise of Rs 120–150 per quintal over the past 5 to 6 trading sessions. The surge in prices was driven by a combination of strong festive demand and a lower monthly quota.
Currently, M-grade sugar is being sold at Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, are ranging between Rs 3,870 and Rs 3,910 per quintal.
