Domestic sugar prices continue to trade lower
Domestic sugar prices across major markets were reported to be weak as crushing is picking up. Prices saw a downtrend of Rs 20-30 per quintal across the major states. As crushing is progressing well buyers are not aggressively buying as supply will remain ample moving forward.
In the key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted between ₹3,970 and ₹4,080 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,660–₹3,720 per quintal, reflecting a softer tone.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $421.20 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.81 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 437-0 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.67250s
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 89.989 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.4303 Crude WTI traded at $59.10 a barrel. Sensex closed 436.41 points down at 84666.28 whereas Nifty closed 120.90 points lower at 25839.65
