SEAS Biotech Pvt. Ltd., a leading player in sustainable ethanol production, has inaugurated its new Administrative Building at its facility located in the Industrial Growth Centre, Matia, Goalpara. The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara. Khanindra Choudhury, IAS as Chief Guest, along with distinguished guests from the forest department, local administration, industries, and educational institutions.
DC Goalpara Khanindra Choudhury officially inaugurated the building and started a tree plantation drive, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
This milestone follows the successful commissioning of SEAS Biotech’s main plant, which produces 140 Kilo Litres Per Day (KLPD) of fuel-grade ethanol. The facility employs over 200 direct and 100 indirect personnel, further strengthening the industrial ecosystem of Assam.

He further thanked the Govt. of Assam led by visionary CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for providing an environment to setup a industry here.
SEAS Biotech’s ethanol facility stands out for its carbon-negative operations. It is the first in India to install a 100% bamboo-fueled RG Boiler from Lambion-Thermax, alongside a commitment to local grain sourcing that supports farmers and enhances the regional economy.
